        Description

        ThinkPad T43 features

ENERGY STAR: All ThinkPad notebook models are designed to meet the EPA ENERGY STAR14 requirements forusing less than 15 watts of power in sleep mode when enabled by the power management softwareprovided with the systems.

Data protection: Selected models of the ThinkPad T43 notebook include integrated fingerprint reader technologyfrom ThinkVantage Technologies to help protect access to your ThinkPad notebook and data.

Since fingerprints are unique, they can be used together with other security measures to provide amore secure work environment.

You can combine the integrated fingerprint reader with IBM Password Manager and the EmbeddedSecurity Subsystem for strong security measures that are easy to follow. Security software ispreloaded for an integrated solution out of the box. To use the fingerprint reader, simply passyour finger over the reader instead of typing passwords, or combine the fingerprint reader with theuse of passwords for even greater security.

These technologies enable administrators to implement strong security policies and make it easierfor users to comply with ongoing password requirements.

ImageUltra™ services: Selected ThinkPad notebooks are enabled for ImageUltra.
