After the popularity of Samsung's Java Mobiles and Nokia's series 40 and 60 mobiles, some of the mobile developers have developed applications for mobile like PDF Reader for Java Mobiles. The growth and development of Java mobiles have not been stopped yet, though the smartphone has got more impact on people.

PDF files can be a pain in the neck, but they are a necessity for many businesses. As such, PDF readers are commonplace on the PC, with most folks having at least one program that can handle viewing them. But what if you want to view a PDF file on your Android device? As you can probably guess, there are a ton of apps touting the best PDF reader on the Google Play Store. Of course, sorting the wheat from the chaff can be frustrating and time consuming. Luckily for you we’ve done the hard work for you. Continue reading as we break down some of the best PDF reader apps for Android.

1. Adobe Reader

With Adobe’s prevalence among PC users, it’s no surprise that its mobile offering is the default for many. Adobe Reader is light and very capable, offering annotating and form filling. The app is free but does offer in-app purchases. As a result, if you need additional features like exporting to different file types, expect to open up your wallet.

2. AnDoc PDF Reader

If you want something simple that “just works,” look no further than AnDoc PDF Reader. The app has a tiny footprint and can view PDF and DjVu files, and that’s about it. AnDoc comes in both free and paid varieties, with the free version being ad-supported.

3. DocuSign

Whereas the other PDF readers on this list could also function as an ebook reader, DocuSign positions itself exclusively as a business tool. The primary function of the app is to open PDF files, sign them and send them on their way. DocuSign’s signatures are legally binding and comply with the eSign act, ensuring you always have a paper trail, even when there’s no paper. DocuSign is free to use; however, it does offer subscriptions which include added features.

4. Google PDF Reader

Another app that eschews features in favor of simplicity, Google PDF Reader features a search function, text selection and printing. It is super simple but is completely free. If you only need to read the occasional PDF, Google PDF Reader is worth a look. It’s worth mentioning that Google Books, a platform primarily designed to manage your ebook collection, also has the ability to read PDF files.

5. OfficeSuite + PDF/WPS Office + PDF

These two popular mobile office suites also have PDF compatibility baked right in. In addition to reading PDFs, both apps allow users to convert all office documents into PDFs. While OfficeSuite edges out WPS Office in terms of supported PDF features, both get the job done. If you need a full office suite in addition to a PDF reader, check these two out.

Do you use any of these Android PDF readers? If so, what are your opinions? Do you use one we failed to mention? Let us know in the comments!
